You can book an appointment online by going to shiftptwellness.janeapp.com. To access this url you can also use the booking buttons found on our website. From here you will be able to choose your service, practitioner and the booking type.

Do you direct bill insurance/extended health care benefits?

At Shift Physiotherapy & Wellness we offer direct billing to your primary plan. Please refer to the list of insurers below to see if we will be able to bill your extended health care benefits.

Do you offer AHS, WCB or MVA Funding?

At this time we are unable to offer any Alberta Health Care funded physiotherapy services. Please contact us (https://www.shiftptwellness.com/contact)if you would like a list of clinics that can offer AHS funded physiotherapy services.

We are however able to direct bill the Worker's Compensation Board (WCB) for work related injuries.

We are also able to direct bill insurance companies for patients who have suffered an injury due to a MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident).

How much do physiotherapy treatments cost and how long is the treatment length?

Physiotherapy Treatment: $90 (30 mins)
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Treatment: $120 (45 mins)

Physiotherapy Assessment: $120 (45 mins)
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Assessment: $180 (60 mins)

Question 5

Is there an additional charge for acupuncture or dry needling?

Accepted Answer

The cost of your physiotherapy treatment includes acupuncture or dry needling if your physiotherapist deems it a recommended treatment modality.

What do I need to wear to my physiotherapy appointment?

Accepted Answer

It is best if you come to your appointment in comfortable clothes that you can easily move in. If you are coming in to have a lower extremity body part treated, shorts are helpful. Shorts are also helpful if you are hoping to try acupuncture.

What are your COVID-19 policies and procedures?

At Shift Physiotherapy & Wellness the health and safety of our staff and patients is our number one priority.
Therefore, we have implemented policies and procedures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. All of our policies are in line with the most current AHS guidelines.  
Our staff have been trained to follow enhanced cleaning protocols and maintain physical distancing when able. Due to the nature of our practice, when practitioners are unable to maintain physical distancing, they will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 
All treatments are by appointment only to ensure there is no overcrowding. Our waiting area, open treatment space and private treatment rooms are all designed to ensure adequate physical distancing between patients.

If you are hesitant to visit us for an in-person treatment, Telerehabilitation (virtual) appointments are offered as an alternative.
